Battling the Visa System
The other day we went to apply for our Indian visas. We are going for almost six months and of course six months is the maximum possible.
Easy I thought - get the visa form fill it out saying you need a six month visa from this date to this date and hey presto there it is.
Step in the bureaucracy. The visa is dated from the date you hand it in so if you apply 6 weeks before you leave then it expires before you are due to come home. Crazy process.
The solution is that they take five days to process the visa so you have to surrender your passport six days prior to departure and hope all goes well and passport+visa returns in time for your departure.

Welcome
Welcome to the news from the gnu's.
This is the start of our Indian adventure. We are heading to CSI Jessie Moses School in Chennai for 6 months to do whatever they want us to.
We will endeavour to journal weekly or more frequently about our activities but the disclaimer of lack of access etc may not let this happen
